Praise to God for the year that was, and to the year that is now, I pray that all of us will experience the miracle of Faith our God has made for us.
May we all begin the first day of the year, discovering, reminding, knowing and immersing in the kind of Faith our Father has been talking about.
The word Faith has been repeated in the Bible a lot of times, but in this one Chapter, this Word didn’t just appear repeatedly but incredibly empowered by a simple preposition, called “BY”.
“Preposition” – a word or group of words that is used with a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase to SHOW DIRECTION, location, or time, or to introduce an object (emphasis on the CAPS locked phrase)
“BY” linked with the word “FAITH”.
One Chapter in the Bible that shows us where our DIRECTION of faith should be.
May you too be motivated and be fueled by the inspiration this passages brought me when I read it.
🙂 🙂 🙂
THE ASSURANCE OUR SOUL THIRSTS COMES FROM FAITH
Verse 1: Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.
BY FAITH WE CAN UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF GOD
Verse 3: BY FAITH we understand that the entire universe was form at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
|BY FAITH WE CAN GIVE TO GOD WHAT HE DESERVES
Verse 4: It was BY FAITH that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did.
BY FAITH WE CAN KNOW THAT GOD HAS ALWAYS GOT OUR BACK WHEN WE PLEASED HIM
Verse 5: It was BY FAITH that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying – “he disappeared, because God took him.” For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God.
BY FAITH WE CAN OBEY GOD!
Verse 7: It was BY FAITH that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.
BY FAITH WE CAN TRUST GOD THOUGH WE CANNOT SEE WHAT’S UP AHEAD
Verse 8: It was BY FAITH that Abraham obeyed God when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going.
BY FAITH WE CAN LIVE CONTINUOUSLY BY FAITH EVEN WHEN WE HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED THE PROMISE
Verse 9: And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there BY FAITH.
BY FAITH WE CAN BELIEVE THAT GOD CAN DO WHAT IS HUMANLY IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE HE IS A GOD WHO KEEPS HIS PROMISES
Verse 11: It was BY FAITH that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise.
BY FAITH WE CAN DIE TO OURSELVES AND GAIN CHRIST!
Verse 17,19: It was BY FAITH that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him. 19 Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead.
BY FAITH WE CAN ACCEPT THAT WE HAVE BEEN SPARED OF GOD’S WRATH AND SAVED INSTEAD BY HIS GLORIOUS SON – JESUS CHRIST!
Verse 28: It was BY FAITH that Moses commanded the people of Israel to keep the Passover and to sprinkle blood on the doorposts so that the angel of death would not kill their firstborn sons.
BY FAITH WE CAN WALK THROUGH THE RED SEAS OF OUR LIVES, KNOWING THAT GOD WILL DRY IT UP!
Verse 29: It was BY FAITH that the people of Israel went right through the Red Sea as though they were on dry ground.
BY FAITH WE CAN ANTICIPATE THAT GOD WILL TEAR DOWN THE MIGHTHY WALL OF JERICHO IN OUR LIVES THAT HINDERS US TO REACH HIS PROMISE
Verse 30: It was BY FAITH that the people of Israel marched around Jericho for seven days, and the walls came crashing down.
BY FAITH KNOW THAT WE ARE A FRIEND OF GOD
Verse 31: It was BY FAITH that Rahab the prostitute was not destroyed with the people in her city who refused to obey God. For she had given a friendly welcome to the spies.
BY FAITH EXPECT THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED
Verse 33: BY FAITH these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them.
BY FAITH LIVE BY KNOWING THAT THIS LIFE IS NOT ALL MILK AND HONEY, TRIBULATIONS ARE A PART OF OUR STORY, MANY OF OUR PRAYERS WON’T GET ANSWERED THE WAY WE WANT IT, BUT BE CONFIDENT IN THE HOPE THAT GOD ALWAYS HAS SOMETHING BETTER FOR US
Verses 39-40: All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received ALL that God has promised. For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us.
The promises we will receive in this earthy life is not the whole of what God has in store for us yet, this is so we can all still look forward to the day His glorious son will return, and cause solidarity among us believers, and take us all up to finally grasp the wholeness of our inheritance in HIM!
In this year, 2018, May we all press on BY FAITH on the ONLY sure direction we HAVE – THE CHAMPION AND PERFECTER OF OUR FAITH – JESUS because:
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Our strength comes from His grace. Hebrews 13:9
And it is impossible to please God without FAITH. Hebrews 11:6
A STRONG FAITH OF A NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU! 🙂
Hallelujah to our Great LORD!
